History
The proposal for the opening of branches and branches of branches of science at the Faculty of Science and Letters of Iğdır University was examined in the executive meeting of higher education dated 16.06.2011 and the law no. 2547 was amended by Law No. 2880 7 / d-2. According to the article, it was deemed appropriate to open the Department of History in the Faculty of Science and Literature.
In 2013-2014 academic year, students received 30 students, 40 students in 2014-2015 academic year, 41 students in 2015-2016 academic year and 50 students in 2016-2017 academic year.
As of the academic year of 2017-2018, the second curriculum was opened and the students were admitted.
With the proposal of the Department, in the year of 2016-2017 academic year within the scope of the Institute of Social Sciences, In the 2017-2018 academic year, the Master's Degree Program in History and History was started and student admission started. The process has also been initiated for the opening of the doctoral program.
Since the date of its opening, the History Department of Igdir University has been continuing to increase rapidly in terms of both graduate and graduate programs as well as teaching staff members and to increase the number of students by multiplying.
