Iğdır University Faculty of Science and Letters Department of Turkish Language and Literature, Iğdır University Rectorate, Department of Science and Literature Faculty in the opening of branches and main branches of science with the law No. 2547 by Law No. 2880 amended by 7 / d-2. was established on the basis of the decision taken at the meeting of the Higher Education Council dated 16.06.2011. Again, according to the decision of the Rectorate of Iğdır University on 25.07.2104 with the proposal to open branch and main branches of science in the Faculty of Science and Literature and the decision taken at the meeting of Higher Education Executive Board dated 24.09.2014 in accordance with the same article above, it was deemed appropriate to establish five departments within the field of Turkish Language and Literature.
